Blair and Laura celebrated the availability of Rescue Dog Wines in New Orleans with several events. The winery partnered with Take Paws Rescue at its Swing’ With The Strays gala on November 2. The evening included delicious food, libations, a silent and live auction and entertainment by Makin’ Groceries. This event is Take Paws Rescue’s largest fundraiser of the year. We’d like to thank Monique Bonnaffons and her team for a terrific evening! More about them: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/

While in town, Rescue Dog Wines also entered the Predominantly Poodle Sauvignon Blanc and the Beloved Mixed Red wine blend into the New Orleans International Wine awards and both wines walked away with Bronze medals. Laura and Blair also poured Rescue Dog Wines at the related Grand Tasting on November 7th. We also participated in a trade pouring the day before as well as visits to various on premises locations, some who will be carrying Rescue Dog Wines soon!

On November 8 the winery welcomed members of the wine trade and dog, rescue communities at a lively launch event at The Stray Café, which is a project of Take Paws Rescue  The Café, once open, will give patrons a chance to socialize with rescue dogs available for adoption while enjoying a coffee or a selection from Rescue Dog Wines!. Music was provided by James Andrews (“The Mayor of Treme”)  (more http://jamesandrewsmusic.com/  or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs4A9wnAzpE or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4nUqG_1W2o ) and delicious nibbles were part of the evening, which gave our new distributor, Bizou Wines, a chance to present the wines to their customers. Stay tuned for where you can enjoy our wines in NOLA!
